Swim Instruction Sessions
Gentle, trauma-informed water session for those who feel fearful in the water or are moving through life transitions such as grief, illness, or overwhelm. Focus areas include safety, comfort, self-regulation and nervous system ease-always at your pace.
Swimming is a life skill and learning it can be deeply empowering at any age. We focus of clear, practical and skill based swimming lessons for adults that focuses on safety, techniques and confidence in the water. You will always choose the pace, focus and type of support you want. Safety, competence and confidence are the foundation of every session.

About Water Trauma Healing
Paula Smith was a certified Water Safety Instructor through the American Red Cross with over 50 years of experience teaching swimming to individuals of all ages. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
Paula has worked with adults who are fearful of water due to past experiences such as near-drowning incidents or prolonged water avoidance. She has developed a structured, trauma-informed aquatic support approach that prioritizes safety, gradual exposure, and participant choice.
